Chapel – Chapelle Notre-Dame de Beaurevers in Montaimont, church Saint-Théodule in Montgellafrey or the many chapels in the surrounding hamlets that serve as a reminder of the extent to which baroque art is a part of the local heritage. Visits and conferences are organised during the summer season.
When you arrive in St-François Longchamp 1450m, you will be able to glimpse the Cheminées des Fées. Their formation is due to geological erosion. When it rains the large stone on top of the column protects the chimney part. The rainwater then erodes the base of the column and forms these incredible sculptures that Mother nature has given us. They are sometimes referred to as les « demoiselles coiffées ».
